Despite threats of tornados and a "soggy" start the Upper Saucon Lions Club Spring 2012 Flea Market was placed in the sucess column. Paulette Moran, as her second year as chairwoman of the event, noted everyone took the wet conditions in stride. It also turned out to be a family affair as Dr. Moran helped sell items at the US Lions stand, Ryan Moran helped with setup and "manning" the Lions stand. Brandon Moran helped with clean and shutdown. Even the Moran horses "donated" hay to help dry out the mud in front of the stand. Over forty vendors hawked their wares. The Club members kept busy in their new concession trailer selling made to order breakfast sandwiches, hamburgers, hot dogs and other goodies. With the money made at the event the Upper Saucon Club will be able to help visually impaired indviduals and families in need in their community. There are over 1.35 million Lions clubs members in 207 countries helping communities throughout the world. Visit theirwebsite for more infomation.
