When you look for a doctor, you check out his or her credentials, but what about the office staff?

At Lehigh Valley Center for Sight we are pleased to announce that many of our front office are Certified Patient Service Specialists (CPSS).

The CPSS certification is given to medical office professionals who have achieved a national standard of excellence.  They have completed a course which focuses on increasing the quality of patient care.  Among the areas of study for this program are Anatomy & Physiology of the Eye; Common Ophthalmic Diagnoses; Triaging Ocular Emergencies; Insurance, Billing & Coding; as well as HIPAA & OSHA regulations.

Our Certified Patient Service Specialists all wear a gold pin which indicates their achievement.  Our CPSS staff now includes Mandy Bolton, Michelle Carl, Christina Dean, Rebecca Dietz, Rose DeLesio, Beth Handwerk, Valerie Hotmer, Dani Kerchenel, Rosanne Kocher, Eileen Konigsberg, Ethel Reiss, Carolina Taverez,  and Diana Ubilla.

The Lehigh County Humane Society received a generous donation from the staff of Lehigh Valley Center for Sight on Saturday, March 2nd.  As part of LVC4S ongoing pledge to support local charities, employees "Shared the Love" for our Valentines' Day philanthropy project for our furry friends.

Please consider visiting the Humane Society and giving a pet a forever home.

Celebrating 10 years...

Longevity has its rewards at LVC4S!  Employees who have reached 10 years of service are given a cruise as a special bonus.  Licensed Optician JoAnne McDaniel has been part of Fairmont Optical at LVC4S since 2002.  JoAnne cruised to the Bahamas in February, and took her whole family along to celebrate!  Congratulations and thanks for ten great years, JoAnne!

We are happy to celebrate the 101st birthday of a special Lehigh Valley Center for Sight patient, Pearl Savitz.

Now moving into her second century, Pearl is enjoying the benefits of a lifetime of quality eye care.  Pearl became a patient of Dr. Ross over 30 years ago, when he was just starting his practice in Allentown.  Thanks Pearl for trusting us with your eyes, and for letting us snap a photo of you & your favorite eye doctor on your recent visit!   

Rolling, Rolling, Rolling...

It's a family affair for our LVC4S employees at Hampton Lanes in Northampton!  Our first season of bowling featured four teams each one named for one of our doctors:  Team Ahdieh, Cherfas, Moran and Ross rocked and rolled Wednesday nights this winter.
